Activation

n. · the moment they stay

Get every user to the moment that makes them stay.

The time has come to redefine activation.

For years, SaaS teams have faced an impossible choice with onboarding: ship the same tour to everyone, or drown in a zoo of tools that never share product truth.

Tour builders over here. Email somewhere else. Forms that never change the onboarding. We were told, that’s just how activation works.

The paradigm was built for a different era: static checklists, one-size segments, AI as a badge, when time-to-value was someone else’s problem.

Times have changed.

Today’s products deserve better than yesterday’s tours.

They deserve onboarding to first value, for every segment, on purpose.

What does activation on purpose mean?

It means flipping the script: activation that works from your product context, not a blank canvas.

It means building for how modern SaaS actually grows, qualify, segment, sequence to value, not how tour tools worked a decade ago.

It means rejecting the false trade-off that personalization must mean chaos, and simplicity must mean the same flow for everyone.

It means:

  1. [1]

    Context should come first.

Because blank-canvas onboarding is a failure mode. Paste your product, every tour and checklist should sound like you.

  2. [2]

    Onboarding should be personal.

Because every segment deserves their own route to value, forms, checklists, tours, and emails composed for who they are.

  3. [3]

    AI should draft, not decide.

Because publish, policy, and taste stay human. Models fill structured drafts. You ship.

  4. [4]

    Measure should close the loop.

Because iteration beats rebuilding the stack. Ask for plans and reports, then change one step.

This is activation on purpose.

That’s why we’re here. That’s what we’re building:

A platform that gets every user to the moment that makes them stay.

I’m building Krest because I’ve watched great products lose people in the first session, not for lack of features, but for lack of onboarding that fits who they are. Static tours ignore the user. Email tools don’t share product truth. “AI onboarding” often means unsupervised noise.

Krest is the calm room where onboarding gets built: paste your product, qualify the user, build the tour and checklist, and ship only what you’d put your name on. The crest is the peak of the wave, the aha, the moment they stay.

If you care about time-to-value as much as time-to-ship, I want to talk.

How we build

01

Outcome over widgets

We sell the moment users stay, not a catalog of tooltips. Tours, checklists, and emails exist to get them there.

02

Context over blank canvas

Product knowledge and form answers are the input. Personalization without that context is just noise.

03

AI drafts; you ship

Models fill structured drafts. Publish, policy, and taste stay human, on purpose.

Activation runs on Krest.

Get every user to the moment that makes them stay.
